Tim McFarlane

Tim McFarlane became an accredited specialist with the Law Institute of Victoria in Alternative Dispute Resolution in 1993. Tim’s extensive expertise has been developed over 30 years while employed at, and as a partner in a number of law firms and with the Professional Standards Department of the Law Institute of Victoria. He is highly respected within the legal profession for his commercially focussed, proactive, balanced and well reasoned conflict resolution approach.
Tim is a member of a number of mediation committees and panels in Victoria, New South Wales and Hong Kong, former Chairman of the Mediatory Advisory Committee and is a member on the list of Mediators for World Intellectual Property Organisation, Geneva, Switzerland.
He is a member of the ADR Committee of the Law Council of Australia and a director of the national Mediator Standards Board.
Tim is the only Victorian in the international publication of Who’s Who Legal- Commercial Mediation 2011.

Jonathan Mott
Jonathan Mott also became an accredited specialist with the Law Institute of Victoria in Alternative Dispute Resolution in 1993. Jonathan has over 40 years experience as a partner in private practice and as managing partner of the Dispute Resolution Division of a national law firm formally known as (Deacons) and now Norton Rose. In addition Jonathan is a director of several companies in the private and public sector, former President of the Law Institute of Victoria and Chair of the Victorian Legal Aid and Housing Guarantee Fund Ltd.
As a mediator, Jonathan is experienced in all areas of practice and as an arbitrator, has particular experience in the commercial field. After joinging Tim McFarlarne in 2003 he has continued to develop his practice as a mediator and arbitrator and also conducted private enquiries and investigations.

Robert Cornall
Robert Cornall AO brings a very diverse range of legal experience to McFarlane Legal.
His previous roles cover private practice, legal profession representation and regulation, legal aid administration and high level policy and governmental experience as Secretary to the Australian Government Attorney General Department for more than eight and half years.

Janet Lambrou
Janet has 19 years experience in law as a litigator, manager, broker and advocate, both in Australia and the UK. Her experience in complex disputes spans the UK, Europe, Canada, Scandinavia and Africa.
She has a rare mix of abilities to discern and clarify issues, intellectual capacity and compassion.
